Highway Safety Investigation Reports

WSP SELLS conducted approximately 100 Highway Safety Investigation Reports at Priority Investigation Locations (PILs) throughout New York’s Hudson Valley. WSP SELLS used State approved Highway Safety Analysis Software as a database to store, sort, and analyze the data. The software was also used to calculate accident rates, prepare collision diagrams, and identify statistical abnormalities and accident clusters. WSP SELLS identified how traffic congestion and signal operations affect vehicular and pedestrian safety in order to evaluate existing corridor conditions and develop improved signal timing plans.
