WSP SELLS performed Traffic Impact Analysis for the Farrington Road Townhomes Development, a proposed residential community consisting of 210 townhouses located in Durham, NC. The area impacts two existing intersections and two proposed intersections. The potential traffic impact is assessed through intersection capacity analyses. Delays can be significantly reduced by the improvements, but traffic congestion will continue in the AM peak hour because of high travel demands on NC 54 arterial, particularly on the westbound approach.
