High Precision Mapping Route 35 & 36 Improvements
Monmouth County, NJ | New Jersey Dept. of Transportation
The helicopter flew twelve flight lines at an altitude of 300 feet, producing aerial photography at a negative scale of 1”=50’. From this photography, we created mapping at significantly higher accuracies than are normally achieved using aerial mapping methods. By using this method, we achieved near survey grade accuracy. This reduced the amount of ground survey needed in an area where safety and traffic issues are a big concern.
