Resort Land Development & Design Mapping

Wolf Ridge Resort & Village, North Carolina | Day Associates

A master planned community is being developed that will include the following: 1,000 homes, an airport runway, commercial area with retail shops and restaurants, and sports facilities. WSP SELLS was awarded a contract to provide large scale mapping. Color aerial photography was flown to support mapping, as well as a sales and marketing tool for the client. GPS survey control was established. Mapping was created in phases based on the areas the planners and developers were working. Stereo compilation generated digital data at 1”= 40’ scale with a DTM to produce 2’ contours.
