Countywide Ortho & Topographic Mapping

WSP SELLS was awarded a countywide color digital orthophoto and topographic mapping contract.  The scope of the assignment included GPS ground control survey, grey scale and color digital orthophotos and contours of the entire County. The project involved obtaining color aerial photography of the entire County (750 square miles), at a scale of 1”= 1000’.  A network of basic horizontal and vertical control was established for the entire County using airborne and conventional GPS survey techniques. Aerial Triangulation was used to provide complete horizontal and vertical picture point control from the control survey.
