WSP SELLS took a look at all of the functional requirements of the Police Department and developed a plan for implementation. First, ESRI’s MapObjects and Microsoft’s .NET were chosen as the development platform for this project. This tool was used because of its great power and simple environment. It uses Windows drivers and as a result, has a small footprint, critical for fast response time and stability. The code was written and the application deployed onto the Dispatcher’s computer in the Police Department.
