WSP SELLS survey crews were deployed for this project using Trimble GPS technology that provides sub foot accurate information to collect 25,000 signs. We collected digital photos of each sign along with multiple attributes in accordance to the MUTCD Traffic Sign Manual, size, position (on street), orientation, condition, and others to help assist the Town in managing this critical asset. In addition to the field collection, WSP SELLS also delivered the Town a digital version of the ordinance book. The sign data was incorporated into the Town’s installation of Cartegraph’s SignView software for managing the signs.
