Honeycutt Creek Greenway Project
Raleigh, NC | City of Raleigh, NC
Raleigh, NC Parks and Recreation Department proposed to design and construct the Honeycutt Creek Greenway, to provide a connection across Interstate 540 (Raleigh’s Outer Loop) and between the City and Falls Lake to the north.
The project scope includes Project Management, Implementation of a Public Information Program, Surveying, Coordination of Natural Systems and Geotechnical Services, Alignment Design, Design of Pedestrian Crossings, and Hydraulic Design.
WSP SELLS implemented an extensive database driven Public Information Program to meet the needs of the City in terms of coordination with the impacted property owners. Detailed floodplain management services are being provided to ensure a safe and regulatory compliant design within areas of regulatory floodplains, including stream crossings. A high level of service in the design of safe pedestrian crossings is also being provided as this section includes numerous at-grade crossings of high capacity roads in North Raleigh.
